If you carry and train with knives and firearms, your chances of being cut / shot (either on purpose or by
accident) increase greatly. This being a FACT and not an opinion, it would behoove you all to have the means
to render emergency aid on hand, at least  until the EMT arrives. It’s really not an option, it’s a requirement.

QuikClot First Response™
Easy to use - Just rip open a packet, pack the self-contained sponge into the wound and the bleeding stops rapidly. The sponge will conform to the shape of the wound. QuikClot 1st Response™ is easily removed in a hospital setting. QuikClot 1st Response™ is proven technology developed for the military, packaged for convenient use by first responders, to help save lives right at the scene of accidents, crimes, fires and other emergencies. QuikClot 1st Response™ remains cool on contact. It has a greatly reduced exothermic reaction, with maximum temperatures in vivo typically at 105 degrees fahrenheit. One box contains five 25 gram sponges.

CELOX™
CELOX™ is a high-performance granular hemostatic material designed to control life threatening bleeding fast. It contains a proprietary marine biopolymer that is suitable for many applications, from deep arterial bleeds to superficial wounds. CELOX™ provides a simple, quick way to stop bleeding and is particularly useful in treating difficult and deep wounds. The original CELOX™ version is presented in the form of hemostatic granules that can be poured directly into a wound. CELOX does not generate heat, is easy to irrigate from a wound, and works on anti-coagulated blood.
